FIELD DAY – 25 & 26 2016
Come out and join WARC on Saturday and Sunday 25 & 26 June 2016 at Northside Methodist Academy located at 2600 Redmond Rd, Dothan, AL 36303. Set up will start around 1000 (10:00 AM CT) in room 115. Radio operations will begin at 1300 (1:00 PM CT) on Saturday and continue until 1500 (3:00 PM CT) on Sunday. These, as all of our events, are family oriented. So bring the kids out and enjoy a little radio time, or eyeball fellowship with your local “Hams”. The event is open to the public as well.
A testing session for all classes of Amateur Radio Licenses will be offered as well. Please see www.wiregrasshams.org for more details.
Welcome to WARC
The Wiregrass Amateur Radio Club (WARC) serves amateur radio operators in the southeast portion of Alabama including Houston, Henry, Dale, and Geneva counties. WARC is located in Dothan, Alabama, the “Peanut Capital of the World.”
The Wiregrass Amateur Radio Club, Inc. is a formally “Affiliated Club” with the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) – the National Association for Amateur Radio.
WARC meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at the American Red Cross, located at 1004 Montezuma Avenue in Dothan at 6:30 p.m. All Hams and anyone interested in amateur radio are welcome.
Club Eat and Greet
The local Hams get together for lunch every Friday at Noon (Hot’s Deli on Westgate Pkwy) and breakfast at 8 a.m. on the first Saturday of every month (Atlanta Bread Company on Ross Clark Circle). Come on out and join us for a bit of “Eat and Greet.” All are welcome!

WARC maintains voice repeaters on 145.430 (–) MHz and 444.775 (+) MHz. Both repeaters are linked and require a 186.2Hz tone.
