During our June W4DHN WARC Meeting, the usual opening and introductions occurred.  Treasurer’s and Secretary’s reports were given and approved as presented.

Discussion opened about the new Bylaws but tabled until a later date, until folks could read them.  (They are posted under “Our Club” on this website.)

Next item up was the Tri-States Bike Ride for this Saturday.  Charles said that all stations have been filled but if anyone just wanted to help, then they could be assigned as an extra at a site.

Field Day was next up.  It is June 28th and 29th.  It will be at Northside Methodist Academy, 2600 Redmond Road, Dothan, Alabama  36303.  It begins at 9am and runs until everyone is worn out.  Testing will be available and starts at 11am CST.  Set up will begin on Friday evening.  Contact Charles or Doug via groups.io.  Tear down will occur sometime Sunday afternoon.

The Kid’s Day Event has been cancelled due to conflicts of time.

Bruno asked for Volunteers to provide TECH Talks during a meeting.  We have a plethora of electrical, mechanical, technical guru’s in the club.  If you are one of these, or know one, please be encouraged to step up and share some of your knowledge with the rest of the group.

The Alabama QSO Party will be July 26th for 10 hours.

Greg Lane gave the presentation on Fox Hunting.  He discussed what the “fox” is made of and how it works and then discussed equipment options to find it.  He even discussed types of attenuators used and how to use them.  The club agreed that we would like to have a training session on a Saturday (maybe in August or September) to determine the level of understanding we gained.  Thanks Greg for a great presentation.
